Over two visits to site, Westpile is installing a total of 1100, 450 and 350mm dia. bearing piles to an average depth of 20m, on Phase 5 of the Countryside Properties housing scheme at Crossways Estate in Campbell Road, Bow, London E3.
Working next to the fully operational Stratford to Cross Harbour DLR spur track, Westpile is deploying a Klemm 107 mini rig to install piling for the deep basement area.
The Works are split into two parts, to the West and the East of the DLR. (The piling to the East will be undertaken in 2010.)
This phase of the construction scheme will provide 228 new-build reinforced concrete framed apartments built in eight blocks of seven stories available for rent, shared ownership and purchase, with car parking and shared gardens arranged around a central courtyard. The scheme is due to be completed in December 2010.
