Regent’s Canal Bridge

Westpile has installed two pairs of 750mm diameter rotary bored foundation piles, some of which cut through the existing canal walls, for the North and South abutments to the new Regent’s Canal Bridge to be constructed as part of King’s Cross Central’s Eastern Goods Yard Project in central London for which the main contractor is BAM Construction and the client Argent (Kings Cross) Limited.
In addition, as part of this visit to site, the company has installed 23 600mm diameter rotary bored piles to form a contiguous piled wall for the Ghats Steps Wing Wall.
The new bridge will provide a direct vehicle access from Goods Way to the new Granary Square where the Fountain Plant Room is accessed.
Westpile deployed a Bauer BG18 piling rig with associated support equipment.
