CFA Piling

Tower Bridge Road Residential

Westpile is installing foundation piles for a new residential development by Sunlight Projects Limited at 157 Tower Bridge Road, Southwark.

Working in this relatively narrow site between two new buildings within 500m of Tower Bridge, the company has deployed one of its Soilmec CM48 CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) rigs, together with concrete mixer, hydraulic concrete storage drum and sundry other construction essentials.

The installation comprises 42 350mm diameter piles of depths ranging from 19m to 22m, and 55 450mm diameter piles of depths ranging from 21m to 27m.
