Driven Precast Concrete Piling

This system of driven piles has been used by Simplex Westpile for many years and is suitable for a wide variety of soil conditions. This pile can be driven to depths in excess of 80 metres in certain soil conditions, carry high individual loads and can be grouped closer together than other driven systems.

Technique:

Each precast pile is driven in the ground using a drop hammer. Once the first part of the pile has been driven in the ground, it is extended using mechanical interlocking joints means that units can be rapidly coupled to extend the pile to the required founding levels with minimum interruptions in driving.

Each precast pile is reinforced throughout its length with high tensile steel and is made in a wide range of standard units to provide flexibility.

We are able to offer section sizes ranging from 200mm to 350mm square.
