Restricted Access Piling

Simplex Westpile has a fleet of rigs that provide the capability to install piles in a number of restricted working conditions.

Each piling solution is selected to suit the conditions at the site with a range of techniques being available.

  • Cut Down CFA Rigs for working in low headroom
  • Segmental CFA piling
  • Rotary piling with minirigs
  • Grouted Bar Minipiles
  • Driven Piling
  • Low Headroom Rotary Piling

Simplex Westpile have installed contiguous piled walls in less than 2.5m of headroom and constructed 600mm piles to over 30m in only 8m of headroom.

Technique:

Restrictions can arise from a number and combination of constraints:

  • Limited Access into site
  • Reduced working space
  • Low headroom
  • Proximity to adjacent structures
  • Proximity to railways
  • Working inside existing structures

In each scenario any individual pile type or method may be best suited to the ground conditions thus muilti purpose rigs have developed.
